An Eschatological Conversation had with an AI bot
The types of questions and how it responded to my provocative comments is fascinating:
Hello! I am XXXXXX’s market research interviewer.
I’m here to understand what people across the country are thinking today, starting with you. I’ll ask a few open questions to explore your perspective. I won’t tell you what’s right or wrong, I’m just here to listen and learn.
To start us off, what’s on your mind today?
Ecological collapse while politicians point fingers and avoid saving lives.
Can you tell me more about what’s shaping your thinking on this right now?
The leading country in the world is no longer leading. It has become a kleptocracy full of social miscreants. Everyday honest people are suffering. The planet is burning and the loudest leader in the world is spewing nonsense, and demanding tribute. This is hell on Earth.
What do you think needs to happen to address these issues you’re seeing?
The unspeakable.
Can you walk me through what you think would be the most realistic steps that could be taken to improve the situation?
The 25th amendment. A purging of the cabinet through impeachment. Censuring members of the house and Senate who support dictatorship, suspension of civil rights and kleptocracy. An installment of a caretaker government composed of competent non-political, non-corporate leaders and scheduling of free and fair elections after two years of truth and reconciliation proceedings.
What has led you to believe these particular approaches would be effective in addressing the problems you’ve outlined?
Americans think we are special, but we must do the things we have demanded other broken nations to do. South Africa did this. Even Canada has done this. Ireland did something like this. Why not us?
Can you tell me more about how you see the examples from those other countries applying to the current situation?
Germany before, during and after WW2 is an example. We have a developing Hitler situation now. We can stop it before it gets to the point of self-destruction. The stakes are much higher now since we are also facing a global ecosystem collapse.
What are you thinking about when it comes to the ecosystem collapse you mentioned - what aspects of that concern you most?
Wildfires, regional and global disease outbreaks, water shortages and contamination and health emergencies caused by both contaminated and ultra processed foods.
Why do you think these particular environmental and health issues have become so prominent now?
Profit making corporations have positioned themselves as a barrier to good governance.
Before we wrap up, are there any final thoughts you’d like to share about what we’ve discussed today?
I consider myself a conservative because I believe we should hold onto the best values that build a common good. We have known about the underlying causes of environmental instability since I was a child. Credible voices have been silenced. Useful solutions shelved. Now we are in crisis. So this XXXXXX respondent will always question the motives of marketing the next big thing when the most important things go ignored.
Interview ended.
I redacted the researcher corporation as I am unsure what legal issues are involved. But since I was asked to respond, I assume that I can repost the experience without identifiers, as an educational event.
I wonder how the data was sorted and analyzed!
